The meeting of the Technical Group of the National Council for Child Rights Protection took place on November 29th.

 

The agenda of the meeting included presentation of the results of the mapping of the current progress of of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC) implementation, \challenges in implementing the provisions of Article 32 of the CRC regarding the protection of children against economic exploitation, including through labour and the existing mechanisms for identifying cases of child labor exploitation.

 

Members of the Technical Group were acknowledged of the progress in solving the problem of children in street situation form Chisinau municipality following the establishment of the street service in February this year, challenges of the local authority in this regard and reflected on the possible solutions. It should be mentioned that the process of social and educational reintegration of children in street situations is a difficult one, and the problem remains on the agenda of central and local public authorities. Likewise, those present agreed that it is necessary to continue the dialogue between the line ministries and the local public administration in order to identify the educational inclusion solutions for children, who express their will to continue their education.

 

At the proposal of the Permanent Secretariat Directorate, members of the Technical Group were invited to submit proposals of subjetcs for the agenda of the next meeting of the National Council for Child Rights Protection.
